They are large entirely for the sake of being large. There isn't much logic to them, and not much exciting to do on them. The large overworld areas are honestly kind of boring, particularly if you play the game multiple times. Like something is missing, or it just isn't living up to its potential. I've played it quite a bit, with multiple characters. Not cuz the developers held you hand and told you what do do to get the flashy numbers saying you're amazing but caused you actually used your own skill to accomplish what had previous killed you. Yes the the game is Challenging (some say hard) but this just makes it so you want to try again, learn moves, counters, and when you do succeed you feel great. The smoothness of the combat system, monster designs, different set moves for various weapons, decent AI, great atmosphere, the animations are top notch(youtube dark souls animations to fully apreciate how much detail went into the animations to make them smooth). Highly recommend the MOD that makes it 1080 HD and backup your saves. Keep in mind that a Controller is mandatory to appreciate the combat system. If you got 30 hours of entertainment from the first one and didn't feel like that was enough than I don't see how you can not see the 2nd one as worth it.ĭark Souls is amazing. 22 hours deep in torchlight 2 and I'm only in the 2nd chapter. 7% chance to reflect missiles at 50% weapon DPS.+2m to Bow, Crossbow, Pistol and Wand range.Physical Damage Taken is reduced by 5.5%.+1.8m to Bow, Crossbow, Pistol and Wand range.6% chance to reflect missiles at 50% weapon DPS.+1.6m to Bow, Crossbow, Pistol and Wand range.Physical Damage Taken is reduced by 4.5%.+1.4m to Bow, Crossbow, Pistol and Wand range.5% chance to reflect missiles at 50% weapon DPS.+1.2m to Bow, Crossbow, Pistol and Wand range.Physical Damage Taken is reduced by 3.5%.+1m to Bow, Crossbow, Pistol and Wand range.4% chance to reflect missiles at 50% weapon DPS.The level of the new gem is determined by the average level of the 3 ingredients, rounded down.Įach rare gem is generated with enchantments (one for armor/trinkets and one for weapons), each of which is randomly chosen from a set of possibilities. Rare gems are acquired by transmuting 3 of any gem or socketable in any combination. These NPCs first appear in the Estherian Enclave after the completion of the General Grell fight and also appear in the towns in subsequent acts. Once again they can remove gems from sockets, by either destroying the equipment to recover the gems or destroying the gems to free up the item's sockets. a level 36 gem will not fit into the sockets of a level 27 armor/weapon). A gem can only fit into the socket of an item that is equal to or higher than its level (i.e. Unique items usually have at least one socket. The number added is random from 1 to the maximum number that item type allows. A transmutation recipe can add sockets to an item that initially has no sockets. A specialized, wandering enchanter can add up to two sockets to each item. A piece of equipment may have anywhere from one to six sockets, depending on the item.
